The Clicker Technique

"Clicker Training" is an animal training method based on behavioral psychology that relies on marking desirable behavior and rewarding it. Desirable behavior is usually marked by using a "clicker," a mechanical device that makes a short, distinct "click" sound, which tells the animal exactly when they're doing the right thing.

Angela Eaton-Snovak

Angela Eaton-Snovak, CTP, APDT, a resident of Evergreen, Colorado, has been training and working with dogs for over 25 years. She has experience as a trainer, competitor and handler in search techniques. Most recently, she graduated with distinction as a Certified Training Partner from the Karen Pryor Academy of Animal Behavior and Training. Angela is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), a professional organization of dog trainers.
