"Clicker Training" is an animal training method based on behavioral psychology that relies on marking desirable behavior and rewarding it. Desirable behavior is usually marked by using a "clicker," a mechanical device that makes a short, distinct "click" sound, which tells the animal exactly when they're doing the right thing.
Angela is the author of Guide to Search and Rescue Dogs. This fascinating book is a wonderful overview of search dogs and their handlers. Anyone who's ever been interested in search dogs will enjoy the pictures and clear writing style as Angela explains the basics of scent principles, canine search techniques and training methods. Angela Eaton-Snovak, a resident of Evergreen, Colorado, has been training and working with dogs for over 25 years. She has experience as a trainer, competitor and handler in search techniques. Most recently, she graduated with distinction as a Certified Training Partner from the Karen Pryor Academy of Animal Behavior and Training. Angela is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), a professional organization of dog trainers.
